Suspect arrested after alleged mini crime spree in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-It was a busy night for a Lindsay man according to Kawartha Lakes Police.

On July 25th at 6:20pm a man allegedly threw a rock at a security camera at a business on Durham Street west in Lindsay. The man then ran from the area after damaging the camera and attended a home on Cambridge Street south according to police.

Police say the man entered the home without permission of the homeowner, who was not home at the time. A witness allegedly discovered the man inside the residence and scared the man away from the home. The witness followed the man as he fled from the area. The City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service was alerted to the incident as it was unfolding and officers arrived in time to locate and arrest a suspect.

Charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling and mischief to property under $5000 is 21-year-old Riley Cormier of Lindsay.
