Hydro station on fire near Minden

MINDEN-People that live in the area of a hydro station on County Road 21 between Minden and Haliburton are being evacuated after a large fire.

Robertson Road and Caribou Lake Road are the main areas being evacuated after the hydro station County Road 21 caught fire. Officials say more than 20,000 people and businesses are now without power.

There are reports the fire was started by lightning but that is not confirmed. There’s no word on injuries.
