New Police Chief takes over command in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-Chief Mark Mitchell took over command of City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service today.

Chief Mark Mitchell held his first morning meeting with the administrtive staff of the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service. Mitchell joined the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, (formerly Lindsay Police Service) in 1990.

In March 2018 Chief Mitchell was chosen to lead the police service after the retirement of Chief John Hagarty. Chief Hagarty, who led the police service for twelve years retired yesterday but will officially turn over command of the Kawartha Lakes Police Service to Chief Mitchell during a change of command ceremony on August 30th, 2018.
