Even small towns like a big party

KAWARTHA LAKES-It was marketed as a beer release party at the seniors centre. How busy could it be?

Packed!

Residents of all ages converged on the Fenelon Falls Seniors Centre on Friday Night for the launch of the first two beers from Fenelon Falls Brewing Company. Their flagship Vienna Lager and Red Ale proved to be popular. They were expecting 40-50 people but a hundred or more showed up.

Councillor Doug Elmslie stopped by for a cold one and Mike Perry, Executive Director of the City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team was serving up appetizers.

The Harry Peterson Band provided the music for the evening.

The Brewery is on tap to take over the former Livery Stable on the locks in Fenelon Falls. It wil eventually include a tap room, event space, and a patio overlooking the water. The preliminary opening date is late fall 2018.
