KAWARTHA LAKES-A 33-year-old Lindsay man is facing charges after police pulled over a vehicle he was a passenger in.
Police say the car was stopped on Adelaide Street North shortly after 9:30 pm on Wednesday, November 15th. While talking to the driver the officer allegedly noticed another man in the vehicle attempt to hide something in the car. When the officer investigated further, it was found that the man was attempting to conceal a small quantity of crack cocaine according to police. The man allegedly gave the officer a false name but was eventually identified as 33-year-old Timithy Jackson. Once identified it was learned that Jackson was also wanted on several outstanding warrants.
Jackson was detained in custody and will appear in the Lindsay, Ontario Court of Justice for a bail hearing on Thursday, November 16th, 2017 on charges of Failing to Comply with a Recognizance, Obstructing a Peace Officer, Failing to Appear for Court and Theft Under $5000.00.
