Clarington teen stabbed at the Brooklin Fair

A 15-year-old teen was stabbed during an incident at the Brooklin Fair, north of Oshawa on Saturday night.

Officers with the Durham Regional Police say they arrived at the fair to find a teenaged male on the ground suffering from multiple lacerations and a stab wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital and was treated and released.

Witnesses say the 15-year-old victim from Clarington was with friends when a large group of males approached him. One suspect allegedly attempted to rob him of some of his clothing and when the victim refused, the group began assaulting him. The suspects fled the area and could not be located.

Anyone with new information is asked to contact D/Cst. Willis of the Central West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1829.
