102 pot plants seized after RIDE check in Fenelon Falls

Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP say they seized more than 100 pot plants during a RIDE check on Kawartha lakes Road 8 just outside of Fenelon Falls on Saturday night.

Police say at approximately 9pm a vehicle approached the RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check point and when stopped the officer observed marihuana plants inside the vehicle.

A 69 year old Bobcaygeon man was arrested and charged with Produce a Schedule II substance (marihuana) contrary to section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Officers say they seized 102 immature plants.
