Police set up command post to investigate murder in Beaverton

Police say a post mortem done on a 21 year old man who died after an altercation in  Beaverton, found he died as a result of a stabbing. Investigators have identified the homicide victim as Joshua ELLIOTT of Cannington.

A command post has been set up in downtown Beaverton and would like to hear from any witnesses to this incident.

At approximately 10:30 p.m.on May 26th,  officers were called to a disturbance in the downtown area where they found a male collapsed on Dundas Street. The 21-year-old male victim was rushed to hospital in Orillia, but later succumbed to his injuries.

Officers in the area were able to locate a second victim with a stab wound. A 35-year-old male is being treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
