Police called after suspected impaired driver goes through the drive thru

A Douro-Dummer woman has been charged with impaired driving after police received a call from staff at a fast food restaurant on Chemong Road in Peterborough.

Police were sent to the restaurant at approximately 1:30 am on May 28th and located the vehicle still in the drive-thru. During the investigation it was determined the driver was allegedly impaired by a drug.

As a result of the investigation,  a 25 year old from Douro-Dummer, was arrested and charged with impaired driving (by drug).

Her vehicle was impounded for seven days and her driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.
