Two Peterborough residents are facing charges after police used iPhones “Find My Phone” app to located stolen items.
A Romaine Street home was broken into and items including a tablet, an iPhone and jewellery were stolen on May 13th according to police.
Through the “Find My iPhone” application the victims were able to provide officers with a location of the stolen phone.
Officers followed the phone to a Paterson Street home where they located the two female co-accused along with the stolen iPhone and other stolen property.
Police says their investigation revealed the co-accused are also connected to a May 9, 2017 break and enter at a Paterson Street home and connected to a theft from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a Reid Street residence that took place overnight on May 12, 2017.
As a result of the investigation two women were arrested at the scene and charged with break and enter. One also faces charges of possession of a controlled substance.
