Peterborough Police have arrested and charged a local man after threats were made to the Canada Post Depot on Rye Street in April.
During the incident the building was evacuated and the area around the depot was cordoned off. The Durham Regional Police bomb squad was called in to aid in the investigation. No bomb was found.
A 57-year-old Peterborough area adult attended the police station on May 1 and was placed under arrest and charged with mischief over $5,000.
Police say due to the unique and extenuating circumstances with respect to this case no personal identifying information regarding the accused will be released.
The accused is scheduled to appear in a Peterborough court on May 18, 2017.
