Police foot chase in Lindsay leads to arrest


KAWARTHA LAKES-A quick footed Kawartha Lakes Police officer got his man after a foot chase over the Rainbow bridge ended in an arrest Sunday morning.

Police say the incident started shortly after 10:30 am on Sunday when officers spotted a man who was known to them to be wanted on outstanding charges. When the man saw the police cruiser, he allegedly ran from a vehicle he had been in.

Officers took up the chase on foot at the end of Water Street and continued to pursue the man over the Rainbow bridge where they eventually caught up with him and took him into custody.

43-year-old Matthew Cork of no fixed address in Lindsay is facing two charges of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.
