PETERBOROUGH-Members of the Peterborough County OPP have charged a Havelock man with impaired driving.
Police say they stopped a vehicle on Highway 7 shortly after 3am Sunday and found the male driver had allegedly been drinking. 24 year old Alexander William Langley Dixon of Havelock, Ontario was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Driving with more than 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood.
The Peterborough County OPP is reminding motorists to plan ahead when consuming alcohol use a designated driver, utilize a cab or public transit or stay overnight. Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impact your ability to make sound judgements according to police.
