Elderly woman injured while crossing the street in Lindsay

KAWARTHA LAKES-An 82 year old woman was seriously injured while crossing the street on Sunday.

Witnesses told Kawartha 411 the woman was crossing Russell Street near the Dairy Barn when she was hit by a vehicle at approximately 10:30 am.  She was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Kawartha Lakes Police are still investigating with the assistance of the OPP Accident Reconstruction Team.

No charges have been laid.
