Woman charged after allegedly spitting in staff members face

PETERBOROUGH-A 40 year old Peterborough woman is facing charges after a dispute at a restaurant on Lansdowne Street West on August 4th.

Police say the woman went to the restaurant to pick-up her food and became involved in an argument with staff regarding her order. When one of the staff attempted to resolve the situation it was reported that the woman spit in the staff member’s face. The suspect then left the area.

Through the investigation the female suspect was identified. She turned herself in to police on August 14th and was placed under arrest.

Shannon Danee Tripp, 40, of Stewartcroft Drive, Peterborough, is charged with assault and breach of recognizance.
